Safety First—whether we’re working on the ground or sky-high

Safety is our first priority on any job, be it an industrial plant, hospital, food processing facility or high-rise building exterior. Our crew members are trained and licensed to work safely in very challenging environments including silo and tank painting, high-rise painting and hard-to-access industrial structures. We are fully certified and experienced in using aerial lift equipment and swing stage scaffolding. And all of our painters have a minimum of OSHA 10-hour training.

McCahill Painting is an ISNetworld Member Contractor, underscoring our commitment to safety, training and sound business practices. The safety of our team, your staff and your space are always our top consideration.

Flexible Work Schedules and Minimal Disruption

Our team will work when it’s best for you and your business. We can work any shift, any day, during scheduled shutdowns, slow periods or whenever you need us. We recognize businesses often must continue while we work and plan our projects to ensure minimal disruption.

Meticulous Surface Preparation

Careful surface preparation by a skilled painting contractor is essential to achieving proper paint adhesion and a durable, long-lasting finish. McCahill Painting has the training and equipment to safely remove old paint and other contaminants and restore surfaces to their original composition prior to painting. We use a variety of environmentally friendly techniques including vapor blasting and power washing to prep surfaces while minimizing dust and protecting your space. McCahill Painting never skimps on prep work, a key reason our finishes are both beautiful and resilient.

Paints and Coating Products

Whether we’re painting concrete, steel or metal, using the proper paint and coating system for the surface is critical to the finished look and lifespan of the paint. Different substrates require different products, and more than 40 years of experience has taught us what works and what doesn’t. We have our tried-and-true applications and keep up with the latest industrial products and techniques, incorporating them only once we’re confident in their efficacy.

When selecting a paint, we carefully consider the environment, climate, safety standards and required functionality of a project and always apply products to the paint manufacturer’s specifications. Our painters are equipped with wet film gauges and take regular readings to ensure paint is being applied at the manufacturer’s specified film thickness. Too thin of a film provides very little protection, while film that is too thick can cause cracking and other problems.

Painting Equipment

We’ve invested in high-quality vapor/abrasive blasting equipment and spray application equipment and in training our team members to use all equipment properly to ensure excellent results. Our team is skilled and experienced in using:

  • Airless sprayers
  • Plural component spray equipment
  • Conventional air sprayers
Many jobs still require us to use the traditional paintbrush and roller method. We always use high-quality roller sleeves and brushes suited to the particular type of paint being applied.

I’m more than satisfied with the excellent job McCahill Painting did on two complex exterior painting projects. They flawlessly painted a 40-foot high storage tank with a barricade design to support our brand and brought our manufacturing plant back to life with a beautiful new exterior. Their team safely employed aerial lifts and other specialized equipment to work at high elevations among people, car traffic and power lines. Our metal siding, window casements and overhead doors look like new after vapor blasting and paint. I especially value the expert consultation Tim and his team provided, and the results are all the proof I need that hiring McCahill Painting was the right choice. –Paul Shallow, Maintenance Manager, Plasticade

Being chief engineer of two large commercial buildings, my time is precious. The reason I have chosen McCahill Painting for over 25 years of projects is because they don’t need to be monitored. They have consistently and safely completed what I needed them to do. Before a project, I show them and discuss what needs to be blasted or painted. Then, they plan and implement the best preparation and painting processes for that project. They are an excellent company to contract with. –Denis Fahey, Hamilton Partners

McCahill Painting has given us great service over the last 30 years. They have done many jobs for us, from large to small. They have painted the exterior windows on our 7 story building several times, power-washed and chemically cleaned exterior brick, painted and wallpapered our main lobby, and even painted our surgical and delivery room levels. Their response and turnaround time is great. I would and have recommended McCahill to our other facilities, as well as other people we do business with. –Tim Wightman, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital
