Lake Forest Academy Pool Restoration - McCahill Painting restored a large concrete lap pool for our client, taking it from worn and faded to crisp, clean, like-new condition.
PROCESS:
- Power washing with 250-degree hot water and gentle chemical cleaners to remove calcium or other contaminants that would interfere with proper paint adhesion.
- Inspecting and preparing the concrete with hand tools and power grinding where necessary to remove any loose paint.
- Preparing and caulking the control joint.
- Cleaning concrete to remove any preparation residue, then masking the area using a laser level.
- Applying one full prime coat of Insl-X Epoxy Pool Coating Semi-Gloss Finish IG-40XX, following all manufacturer’s application specifications.
- Applying one finish coat of Insl-X Epoxy Pool Coating Semi-Gloss Finish IG-40XX, once again following all of the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure proper adhesion.
- Applying all lane stripes and markings as specified.
