Sponge-Jet® Blasting Services
Sponge-Jet® blasting is an innovative, low-dust dry abrasive blasting technology where sponge blasting media is propelled onto a surface and flattens on impact, exposing abrasives and abrading the surface. The sponge media then expands to create a vacuum that entraps nearly all the blasting dust and contaminants. Blasted media is collected and cleaned as part of the process, and up to 95% of the sponge media is recycled for reuse.
Sponge-Jet® blasting produces 98% less hazardous dust compared to traditional blasting methods, making it one of our most useful tools in the important work of preparing surfaces for beautiful, long-lasting paint finishes. Sponge-Jet® Blasting Applications
Sponge-Jet® Blasting quickly removes old paint, corrosion, dirt, and biological and atmospheric contamination to restore surfaces to optimum conditions for new paint.
This advanced blasting method is suitable for industrial and commercial spaces and is particularly useful in situations where the area needs to be kept as dust free as possible. Be cautious of those dust-free claims! While innovative Sponge-Jet® Blasting and advanced vapor blasting offer great advantages by vastly suppressing dust, 100% dust-free blasting is a myth.
Even so, the dust suppression achieved by using Sponge-Jet® Blasting and vapor blasting is still extremely advantageous and can minimize prep and clean up, reduce health and safety hazards, and protect the environment and your space exponentially over traditional blasting methods such as sandblasting or soda blasting.
